Seth Polen was born and raised in Albany, New York. He attended
the prestigious Albany Academy before heading West to attend San
Diego State University as a Division I Track and Field 800m runner.
While developing himself into an Olympic caliber athlete, Seth also
developed his interests in real estate. He prepared himself to succeed
outside of the world of athletics with a degree in Urban Planning.
Mr. Polen attributes his success in investment brokerage to the
levels of discipline and self-expectation that he developed as a
Division I athlete at San Diego State University. During his career
as an 800-meter runner, while competing alongside world-class Olympic
athletes, he developed the drive and determination that exists at
the heart of all successful entrepreneurs.
He began his career in investment real estate brokerage over twelve
years ago as an office assistant. His first firm quickly realized
his potential as a top quality brokerage professional and in 1994
he began closing his own transactions.
Seth excelled at multifamily brokerage, focusing on Koreatown and
Downtown Los Angeles. As his skill and client list grew, Seth’s
market focus grew to include the entire greater Los Angeles area.
He was repeatedly recognized by his firm as a top producing Agent.
During his career , Seth has listed and closed over 2000 units worth
over $200 million throughout the greater Los Angeles area. Mr. Polen
joined Ramsey-Shilling in May of 2005 to lead the firm’s new Multifamily
Division, centering its philosophy on long term advisory and focused
service to the client. The new Division will complement Ramsey-Shilling’s
well established reputation for representing its clientele in the
Office & Retail Leasing & Sales environment.
Most recently, Mr. Polen has involved himself in the entitlement
and development process. He is well versed in the City of Los Angeles
Adaptive Reuse Ordinance, live/work lofts, and pitfalls and demands
of the condominium conversion process.

speaking about their respect in Seth’s ability. First mentioned
is Seth’s dedication to the interest of his clients above his own
personal interests. Clients are continually surprised at the tenacity
in which Seth qualifies the most probable offers on a property,

Mr. Polen resides in the San Gabriel Valley with his wife Nina,
their daughter Adriana, and their son Nicholas.
